European Center International (ECI) is an international non-governmental organization established on November 28, 2023, as a continuation of the World Peace Agency, founded in Berlin in 2019.

We arose from a need for action and the conviction that living with dignity is not a privilege, but a fundamental right of every human being.

We believe that strong societies are built not through divisions, but through cooperation, mutual respect, and responsibility for the common good. Therefore, we work across borders, cultures, and ideological differences, focusing on what unites people, not what divides them.

European Center International supports initiatives and solutions that protect children and families, counteract violence, advance education, culture, sports, and social innovation, and build societies based on security, solidarity, and human dignity.

Our ambition is not only to draw attention to problems, but above all, to support practical solutions and create spaces for collaboration between people, organizations, businesses, and institutions that want to build a better future together.

We believe that diversity of views, experiences, and cultures does not have to lead to conflict. On the contrary, it can be a source of mutual understanding and strength.

Therefore, we operate in a spirit of dialogue, responsibility, and respect for the dignity of every human being.

Because we believe that the world can be changed for the better – together.

WHO WE ARE?

Our mission

Our mission is to create practical social solutions and support activities that help protect children, families, and entire communities from violence, exclusion, and poverty.

We believe that living with dignity is not a privilege, but a fundamental right of every human being. Therefore, we work across political, social, and cultural divides, focusing on what unites people, not what divides them.

We are particularly focused on combating violence in all its forms. We believe that violence is unjustifiable, and that the perpetrator always bears responsibility for it.

We finance programs to effectively combat violence in practice, fight poverty and homelessness, and support governments and public institutions in solving social problems and striving to restore dignity as the highest human right.

About our President

Matthias Aleksander Günter was born in Krakow (Poland).

After his personal victory over violence, in 2016 he joined the Council of Europe for the "NO Hate speech Movement" project. He also cooperated with other institutions of the Council of Europe. Then he also started cooperation with European Union institutions, still dealing specifically with issues related to combating violence, response to violence and support for victims of violence.

During cooperation with the Institutions of the United Europe, Matthias Aleksander Günter conducted training for young people and teachers (he educated over 10,000 young people and teachers), ran a 24-hour duty for victims of violence, and gave many lectures, conferences, congresses and meetings.

But according to him, this was still not enough to effectively combat violence. Because as a former victim of violence, he knew best what changes in the anti-violence system Victims of Violence, witnesses and perpetrators need in practice.

Therefore, in 2019, he opened the World Peace Agency in his hometown of Berlin. An international organization whose task is to effectively combat violence in practice and help victims, and a very important part of its work is working with perpetrators, which distinguishes WPA from most anti-violence organizations in the world. According to the President, Günter is one of the 5 most important pillars of combating violence. Matthias Aleksander is also the author of the scientific method of combating violence "Alexander's Ladder".

Author of publications, speaker, expert. He is also the author of several dozen projects in the field of combating violence, peace, diplomacy and humanitarian aid.

Also in the European Center's program, one of the most important points is building a system for effectively combating violence in practice. Due to the fact that ECI primarily benefits from the experience of its members.
